Jenny Kennedy, class of 2014
#HumansOfMuckross is our new campaign that connects past pupils together & gives us an insider's look into the cool things everyone's up to post-green skirt era š
Next we have ...
Jenny Kennedy, Head Girl & class of 2014
.
"The friends you make in Muckross are friends for life"
.
" I miss the bond that our year had & seeing my friends every day. I miss having that support, which is something you definitely take for granted during your school days. I really miss the huge mixture of personalities "
.
" My favourite school memory is our sports days & Halloween parties. Our year used to get so competitive (gentle reminder that Froebel was superior). I used to love that our form tutors would get equally competitive with fancy dress effort. The teacher-pupil rapport is particularly special in 6th year, which is another aspect that I miss about Muckross "
.
" At 18 I felt like all my decisions were permanent & life-changing. Now at 23 I realise this is completely untrue. I used to feel like the Leaving Cert would define where I ended up in life & I was under major pressure to do well in the exams. In time, you learn to realise how there are many different pathways into almost anything, so there's no rush in it & you'll learn to relax in life "
.
" Now Iām in my last few weeks of studying Medicine in the Royal College of Surgeons (RCSI) & will qualify as a doctor in May. Iām hoping to work in Emergency Medicine this summer & from there I'll happily see where the road takes me! "
